Welcome and thank you for visiting our blog. We are a small, private organization dedicated to filling a much needed void in the horse racing industry here in Minnesota. We are working on obtaining our tax exempt, non profit status.
Our mission statement: Providing rehabilitation, placement and promotion of retired racehorses.
We are currently in the beginning stages and eventually plan to offer the following:
Trainer Listings: This will be a free service that we provide for trainers as an alternative to sending their horses directly to auction when they are finished racing. We will offer photography and marketing in an attempt to place the horses for the trainer.
Placement: We will be taking in horses directly from the track and placing them for adoption. We will allow them to adjust to their new life as a normal horse. The horse will then start the re-training process depending on the lenght of time the horse is with us.
Rehabilitation: With a consulting equine vet on our board of directors, and an equine massage therapist on staff, we are certain to provide the best care and treatment for injuries.
Education: With our knowledgeable and experienced staff, we are dedicated to educating the public about ex-racehorses. We will promote how useful and versatile these horses can be after their racing careers have ended. Eventually clinics, seminars and events may be held.
